Blending
The combination of two or more fibres is one way of achieving
a little bit of an extra special feel and look. When considering
blending be sure to choose a wool with comparable micron
as your
fibre. With the addition of as little as 10% or 20% of fine
wool, your garment will maintain their shape and the fineness
and the
wool will not detract from the overall quality of the product.
Adding silk will increase the lustre, fine wool will increase
the elasticity, kid mohair will increase lustre and durability
and angora will provide fullness and softness. Also blending
can be used with dyed fibres in many different ways. The
possibilities are endless.
